- After too many years working in Telecommunications Support and more recently software testing. Jeff James decided to leave work - for about 15 months - or as long as it would take - and use his "Frequent Flier" points to buy a one way ticket to Barcelona Spain, taking his bicycle and cycling home from Europe to Melbourne, Australia. So in late March 2007 he headed to Barcelona with the bike and started riding. The ride home (initially estimated at 25,000 km) will take him through Europe, the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent and finally South East Asia before the long ride south in the "Land Down Under"

As I travel these are the top 10 questions that people seem to ask...
1. Where are you from? (Melbourne Australia)
2. Where are you going? (Home, via ...)
3. What is your name? (Jeff)
4. Are you travelling alone? (Yes)
5. What is your job? (I work in Telecommunications)
6. How old are you? (45 - at the start of the trip)
7. Are you married? (No)
8. Why aren't you married? (Never met that right person)
9. Don't you get lonely? (No, It's normal for me to be alone)
10. How much is the bike worth? (Answer varied with the audience but was rarely truthful)
